Our Lessons and Carols service is based on a 150 year tradition of telling the story of the birth of the Messiah through lessons (the reading of Scripture) and carols (the singing of traditional Christmas hymns). Through the course of this service, as we travel virtually across the city together, we will hear the story of our Messiah, our Emmanuel, that spans from Creation to Christmas and on to today. We will tell the story that is not simply meant to reside on the pages of Scripture but to take up residence in our homes and hearts, and then to spill out of our hearts into the world around us!
