Rayven + Max
We had an amazing opportunity to film this couples union in Crawfordsville, Arkansas.
The Vincent’s story is simply about God’s timing and the unexpected. Max and Rayven grew up in the same town, attended the same school and were in the same graduating class. It seemed that they always had mutual acquaintances and friends, but never actually spoke to each other until their junior year of high school when they shared a mutual class, (which neither of them can remember which specific one it was now). Funnily enough, they even went on a date that year, but nothing grew from it at that time. To be quite honest, Rayven thought Max was super cute and sweet, but too quiet. After graduation in 2013, they both attended ASU in Jonesboro, and they both ended up coming back home to take college classes due to some tough life experiences (Rayven’s chronic disease and Max’s dad losing his fight with cancer), they were each going through at the time. They checked in on each other from time to time over the years and prayed for one another’s troubles, but it wasn’t until Summer 2019 that they saw each other again for the first time in years. Their mutual friend, Haley, was having a small get together at her house, and she thought it would be a good idea for Max and Rayven to re-connect. Rayven pushed the thought away and didn’t take it too seriously at the time, but Max and Rayven ended up being drawn to each other that night, despite Rayven’s original plan not to be. Despite her hesitancy, she couldn’t quite pull herself from him. They continued to go on a few dates and hang out after that night, which inevitably snowballed into what you now know as the future Mr. and Mrs. Max Vincent. Falling in love with Max caught Rayven off guard but loving him has been her favorite lifetime experience to date. If you had told either of them in high school that we would end up getting married, they both would’ve laughed and thought ‘no way’. However, they don’t think either of them can picture their lives any differently now. It really is funny how life works in such mysterious ways. God had an unexpected path planned out for them.
